The Warriors earned the title by defeating South Park 3-1 on a rain-soaked Hersheypark Stadium. Montoursville was carried by a gutsy performance from senior forward Tesa McKibben, who scored two goals, both times capitalizing on South Park mistakes. Montoursville Area School District
looks to purchase small Piper Airplane for aviation program
On September 23, 2008 The Montoursville Area School Board approvedthe exploration of and fund raising for the purchase of a training aircraft for the Transportation Technology/Aviation program. Both the aircraft and the engine that drives it will have important historic tiesto local industry with the original Piper manufacturing plant that was in Lock Haven and the Lycoming engine plant at Williamsport. Students that are enrolled in the program spend up to 60 hours with a flight instructor in a real aircraft, learning how to fly.
